These terms apply to purchases on arctic-market.com. Consumer purchases are governed by Icelandic law, including the Consumer Contracts Act no. 16/2016 and the Consumer Sales Act no. 48/2003.
2. Prices and payment
- All prices are in Icelandic króna (ISK) and include 24% VAT unless stated otherwise.
- Shipping is added and shown before you confirm the order.
- Card payments are processed on the secure hosted payment page of our acquirer (Teya or Straumur). Card details never reach our server.
- PayPal is available for foreign buyers. PayPal does not support ISK, so the amount is converted to euros (EUR) at the rate shown at checkout.
- Quotes for branded goods are paid via a payment link sent by email.
3. Orders
A contract is formed when payment is confirmed and you receive an order confirmation by email. We may cancel an order (e.g. if an item is sold out or the price was obviously wrong) and will then refund you in full.
4. Pre-sale and incoming items
Items marked “Pre-sale” or “Being imported” have not arrived in Iceland yet. The expected arrival date is an estimate. A deposit may be charged; the balance is due when the item is ready. If delivery is substantially delayed you may cancel and get your deposit back.
5. Delivery
See Shipping. Print-on-demand items are made to order by our partner Printful and shipped directly to you.
6. Right of withdrawal
Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal. See Returns. Items made to the buyer's specifications or clearly personalised are excepted (Art. 18, Act no. 16/2016).
7. Defects
If an item is defective you are entitled to repair, replacement, a price reduction or cancellation under Act no. 48/2003. The complaint period for consumers is two years from delivery (five years for goods intended to last considerably longer). Contact info@arctic-market.com with your order number and a photo.
8. Privacy
See Privacy.
9. Disputes
Consumers may refer disputes to the Icelandic Complaints Committee on Goods and Services. EU consumers may also use the EU ODR platform. Icelandic law applies.
